Enhanced Trail Networks & Parks

Enhanced Trail Networks
I will be an advocate for enhanced trail networks on the West Side, including the addition of trails and improved connectivity amongst trails and amongst our various cities. This is an area where Salt Lake County can bring communities together to work toward improved planning, and ultimately, connectivity. I would like to see more trail projects be funded with Zoo, Arts and Parks funds.

I am a proponent of the Oquirrh View Plan which envisions a Bonneville Shoreline Trail along the foothills of the Oquirrh Mountains from Magna to Herriman. Though this vision is many years away, we need to begin proactively planning how to make this happen.

Increased Pickleball Courts
We need more pickleball courts on the West Side. I will be an advocate for Zoo, Arts and Parks funding for increased pickleball courts on the West Side, both at county and city parks. These dollars are already collected, so designating more for a sport where space is in high demand makes sense.

Bingham Creek Regional Park
I am a proponent of the continued development of Bingham Creek Regional Park. Phase I, which includes 50-acres, is complete. Ultimately, the project will be 160-acres. The next phases provide a great opportunity to provide the community with desired recreational amenities.
